Seattle Adventure + Portrait Photographer

Hi, I’m Annie.

I specialize in helping women create beautiful images of themselves and their families. If you crave wild and whimsical photos that capture your personality, I’m your photographer.

One part mother, one part wife, one part photographer, one part emergency nurse.

My passion for photography lies at the intersection of nature and people. I thrive when I’m outside with a camera in my hand with cuddly, in-love subjects in front of me.

I’m in my 10th year of emergency medicine, and while this is good, important work, it’s also heavy. When I had my son two and a half years ago in the middle of the pandemic, photography was the creative outlet that I needed to remember to notice the good in the world.

Since then, I’ve become an expert noticer of beauty — the way the purple aster wildflowers dance in the wind in the mountains in August, stolen glances between lovers on the beach, brand-new baby feet poking out of a swaddle, the unique colors of every sunset — I just love narrowing my focus in on the special, fleeting things of this world.

If you are one to feel a little nervous in front of the lens, 1) know that this is so so normal and that it won’t stop us from creating amazing images together, and 2) let me share that as an emergency nurse and toddler mom, very little phases me. At the hospital bedside, I have seen and intimately cared for far more humans than I can count. As a mother of the attachment parenting variety, I’ve comforted my colicky baby and now spirited toddler thousands and thousands of times. I know that toddler meltdowns can quickly turn into laughter and that rain on your wedding day is just an opportunity for incredible + moody portraits. The best thing to do in these moments is to just go with it — I promise you’ll want me to capture these raw and tender moments to look back on.

Two things are true: life is messy and it’s spectacular. I’m here to capture the beauty in the chaos of life — all you have to do is show up as you are with a willingness to lean in to creating art together.

My photo sessions are go-with-the-flow chances to pause time and enjoy good company. I know lighting, I know posing, and I can work quickly with littles — I’m here to guide you through the whole session (and the styling and prep beforehand!). It’s the candid, true-to-you moments that I have my eye trained for — I’ll notice and capture the moments of genuine connection that conjure this season of life.

The galleries that I deliver are warm, tender, and a little wild.
